Make an appointment
Tel:
0161 426 9388
Each patient is free to choose which
Doctor they would like to consult
and our aim is to offer you an
appointment with that Doctor. If
this GP is unavailable an
alternative appointment with another
Doctor will be offered. If you
consider your appointment to be
urgent you will be offered an
appointment with the first Doctor
available. This may not be with the
Doctor you see on a regular basis.
The Practice offers appointments in
advance and on the day. We also have
special times for patients who have
difficulty with work schedules.
Please contact the surgery for
further details of these clinics.
Sometimes the Doctor may want to see
you again within a specific time.
This appointment can only be made as
you come out of the Surgery so that
the Receptionist knows it is on the
Doctor’s instructions.
Any patients wishing to speak to a
GP on the telephone can arrange this
via the receptionist. This will
usually involve making an
appointment in one of our Telephone
Clinics.
Emergency and Urgent Consultations
Our staff are extensively trained to
help you. Please give as much
information as possible to help them
arrange a suitable appointment for
you. Children are usually seen
quicker at surgery. During out of
hours we use an emergency service
and at all times please telephone
the surgery number 0161 426 9388
which will automatically be
re-directed to the on call services.

Obtain a home visit
Home visits are
for patients who are too ill and
frail to attend the surgery.
Please request home visits by 10.30
am if possible. If a patient needs
to be seen urgently please let the
Receptionist know. The Receptionist
may need to ask for more information
to allow the Doctor to assess the
degree of urgency. Children can
usually be seen quicker at the
Surgery.

Order a repeat prescription
All
prescriptions are done
electronically for safety and
convenience. Please mark your repeat
slip clearly and if they are in by
10.30 am in the morning may be ready
for 5 pm that day, although we would
ask for 48 hours notice for
repeat prescriptions in case there
is a query.
Only
in exceptional circumstances will
telephone requests be accepted. In
such cases please telephone after 12
noon (this is to keep the telephone
lines clear for emergencies).
Please note
that anybody receiving
repeat medication is required by law
to attend for regular medication
reviews as instructed by their
doctor.
