You may have heard on the news this morning that flu vaccines from December are to be offered to all patients in the 50-64 age group. We heard the information in the same way you did, so are only now able to start planning for how we will deliver this.
We are now ordering additional vaccines, and working out how we can provide the additional staffing this requires (for our practice, there are about an additional 1500 people eligible).
Please do not call us asking to book, we will publish more information here and on our website when we have the plans confirmed. We will contact anyone by text, or phone call who falls into this group.
Thank you for your assistance.
IF YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A FLU VACCINE YOU CAN PHONE RECEPTION TO BOOK IN FOR YOUR VACCINE. WE ARE MANAGING OUR FLU VACCINES IN A SOCIALLY DISTANCED MANNER, YOU WILL BE DIRECTED THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR AND OUT OF THE BACK DOOR. PLEASE WEAR VERY LOOSE FITTING CLOTHING SO THAT YOUR SHOULDER IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE. MASKS MUST BE WORN AND OF COURSE DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE ANY CORONAVIRUS SYMPTOMS
Lloyds Pharmacy Woodley Closure
Please note Lloyds Pharmacy Woodley will be closing on Friday 8th January 2021.
The Cheshire and Stockport Breast Screening service
"Due to the coronavirus outbreak, we are not able to offer self referral appointments at the moment. As there is a large backlog of women needing screening, Public Health England has made the decision units will only screen women in the routine screening age (50 to their 71st birthday). This situation is likely to continue for the foreseeable future."
Please be breast aware and contact the surgery as soon as possible about any unusual changes or concerns.
Chadsfield Medical Practice has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal. Testing of suspected coronavirus cases is carried out in line with strict guidelines and NOT done at the practice. This means that suspected cases are kept in isolation, away from public areas of GP surgeries, pharmacies and hospitals and returned home also in isolation. Any equipment that comes into contact with suspected cases is thoroughly cleaned as appropriate. Patients can be reassured that safety is everyone’s top priority and are encouraged to attend appointments as usual.
If you have a new cough or fever or loss of sense of taste or smell you must get a Covid test and self isolate and your household must self isolate for 14 days. If you need further information or become unwell phone NHS 119 or go online https://111.nhs.uk/ Or ring 999 if emergency
If you have an appointment at the surgery and develop any symptoms you must NOT attend your appointment but follow advice above. If you have had a recent covid test do NOT attend the surgery until you have received a result and it is negative and your period of self isolation is over, unless directed to attend by your GP. If in doubt phone the surgery before attending.
When you attend the surgery the doors are locked. Please ring the video doorbell and await instructions. If you have been told to wait in your car the Doctor or Nurse will come to get you from the car park, do not try to come in the building.
Please wear a mask/face cover when you attend the surgery. Do you think your exempt? Click here
